ClayPrint3D 致力於探索數位設計與陶瓷工藝之間的跨域融合,透過參數式設計與3D陶瓷列印技術發展當代陶藝創作的新形式。

3D陶瓷列印起源於自造教育(Maker Education)的教學潮流,強調透過動手實作培養設計思考(design thinking)能力,並在創作歷程中發展問題解決與創造思考能力。在STEAM跨領域學習架構中,陶土材料因具備高度可塑性與可回收環保特性,非常適合作為數位創作與工程設計整合的學習媒介。

ClayPrint3D 運用數位建模工具,透過參數式設計方法建立陶瓷造形,並以單層線條逐層堆疊的方式完成3D陶瓷列印作品。此創作方式有別於傳統手拉坯與手作捏陶,能呈現線條交錯與曲面堆疊所形成的結構美感,展現數位設計與當代陶藝融合的新興創作形式。

ClayPrint3D 的創作實踐亦延伸至教育推廣與跨領域合作,包含STEAM課程設計、數位陶藝工作坊與學校合作計畫,期望透過陶瓷材料與數位設計技術的結合,促進創造力培養與設計思維發展,並探索陶瓷藝術在當代設計與生活空間中的更多可能性。

      Ceramic 3D printing originated from the Maker Education movement, which emphasizes hands-on learning as a way to develop design thinking through creative practice. Through the making process, learners cultivate problem-solving skills and creative thinking abilities.

        Within the Maker Education framework, STEM (STEAM) provides an ideal platform for interdisciplinary learning that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Due to its high plasticity and environmentally sustainable characteristics, clay is particularly suitable as a material for STEAM-based 3D ceramic printing activities.

Ceramic 3D printing combines digital modeling software and parametric design techniques to transform virtual models into physical ceramic forms through layered line-based deposition. Unlike traditional wheel-throwing or hand-building methods, ceramic 3D printing enables the creation of distinctive interwoven line structures and textured surfaces, forming a new approach to contemporary ceramic practice.
